The two day painting challange: The Ghoul

On to my 2nd Warhammer Fantasy Battles showcase... the GHOUL!

I am very pleased at how well/fast this little fella came out. The great thing is that I used almost the exact same color palate as I did with the zombie. The paints are as follows:

Rotting Flesh
Codex Grey
Scorched brown
Bleached Bone
Scab Red
Blood Red
Baal Red Wash
Ogryn Flesh Wash <-- This is the key right here

Its amazing what one little change can do to an entire look and feel of a model. If I were to level a gripe at this one it would be the way that he is put together. They have a ton of great arm/head features but they all don't match up quite right with the sockets in the torso leaving some noticeable gaps. The next time that I build one I am going to try using greenstuff instead of glue for those particular joins to see if I can get a better result. Also, he doesn't appear to be all that photogenic. Hes at just the right size to be in my camera's "fuzzy" zone. Oh well, its another one down.
As far as my big project for this weekend I have been using the extra paint time to try to get it presentable. It may be a crunch with the 4th and all but I think I can get it done.

As always questions, comments and criticisms are always appreciated

Have a good one

  2. Lol!
@Icestation Lemon: I am not sure is it has enough magnets for Lantz's taste.

@Ghengis: I believe I shall follow your travails of Undeath. Your style is really neat. Love the addition of blood splatter on the rock!
