From the Work Bench: Chaos Warrior Test Model
Good Morning Everyone,
Just a quick post here to show off my chaos test model. You may remember my less than impressive first foray here
Gotthammer, pointed out that I was using too pastel of a color scheme and I couldn't have agreed more. However, I wasn't coming up with anything better in my head so I put it on the back burner.
Then, I found this article ( BTW if you don't read The Back 40k you really should give it a try, its a fantastic site). Part II in particular really got me thinking about the quality of colors/paints that I used and the foundation that I build them on. So with the gears turning and a successful outing with the color purple on my WarMachine models I came up with this:
I'm as pleased as punch with how it came out and I think a whole army in this color will look pretty swanky. Well what do you think? Questions and comments are always appreciated.
Here is another pic in a different light... for some reason he looks blue here:
Have a Good One,
GV

I like it. Kind of a 40k pimp look. You just need some slave girls to follow him around.
ReplyDeleteDarrel?
ReplyDeleteI like it. not too over the top, very subdued color. You should be very proud.
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteThe grass on the base might be a bit too friendly though. He looks sort of like a Picnic Marine. ;)
@ Farmpunk thank you very much, I was really surprised at the depth of color that I got from Ron( FTW )'s red painting tutorial.
ReplyDelete@ SandWyrm yeeeeeah he does kinda look like "Chaos invades the lawn and garden dept," right now. I especially need to get it fixed if I am going to go to make them lean towards Nurgle.
