Oh thank goodness!

As you are all well aware by now Games Workshop is releasing its 8th iteration of the Warhammer Fantasy Battles game ( Got my copy on pre-order =-D ). As such they have a whole slew of new fancy-schmancy gaming aids out there. Look intimidating? Well worry not! They have instructional videos that help walk you through the fine details. All I have to say is thank Sigmar that they translated it into so many different languages! I don't know how I would ever have figured it out if they hadn't taken the time to produce an English version. (watch the last link and you'll see what I mean)

  2. Oh most definitely, they really help set the mood. Although, I can see all of the extra curly bits getting hooked on stuff and knocking models over. I really enjoyed the ruler and the battle calculator though. I will have to pick that up when I get my vampires up and going. BLEH!

  3. I thought all the bits sticking off the templates looked cool, but it would be a real pain hooking those on any model sticking a spear or sword up. The engineers ruler just looked a little too awkward to use effectively.

  4. I'm not a fan of the new looking templates and the other stuff they have available. They look too fancy and a little bit awkward.

The new little combat counter thing, is just a waste to me. It shouldn't be too difficult to figure it out without a counter. However, I do like that they have brought back the magic cards.
